Pastor Lee Cummings
Senior Pastor
At the age of 12, Lee Cummings received Christ as his Lord and Savior. This set into motion his pursuit of knowing God and developing a deep love for the Bible and the Church. During his teen years he studied and dreamed of serving God in the ministry.
At the age of 20, Lee met his wife Jane while working at a Christian bookstore. They were married the following year and together helped in establishing an inner city ministry in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
In 1993, Lee and Jane, along with their newborn daughter Ashley, moved to Kansas City, Missouri to serve as youth pastors. While there, they experienced tremendous blessing in their ministry as they saw it multiply and expand in influence over the next several years.
Lee and Jane were blessed with another child in 1995 when Jared joined the family. With their two children and a few years of experience, they moved back home to Grand Rapids to join the staff of Resurrection Life Church of Grandville, serving Pastor Duane VanderKlok. Pastor Lee joined the faculty of Christian Life School of Theology and preached in the worship services regularly.
In the fall of 1996, Lee was commissioned by Pastor VanderKlok to establish an affiliate of Resurrection Life Church that would serve the region of Southwest Michigan. With a small team of volunteers and 17 members, Radiant Church of Richland began in the Gull Lake Community High School Cafetorium on September 8, 1996.
Pastor Lee regularly speaks at conferences and churches and is known for his ability to take Biblical truth and make it relevant and humorous. Lee maintains an intimate relationship with God through daily prayer and study, and he makes time with close friends and his family a priority. He is now the proud father of three children (Ashley, Jared and Tiffany) and husband of one. As a pastor, Lee envisions Radiant Church as a place where people can connect with God and others for a life-changing and life-giving experience.
Lee attended Grand Rapids Junior College & Grace Bible College in Grand Rapids, and is a graduate of Christian Life School of Theology. Lee is a life-long learner, avid reader and coffee connoisseur. One of his missions in life is to help people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
